NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
Marayong South Public School offers special religious education (SRE), also known as 'School Scripture'.
Research has shown that SRE contributes to students’ wholistic education as it nurtures their spiritual wellbeing. For more information about the SRE curriculum visit whysre.com.au.
School scripture times
Scripture lessons are held each Tuesday before and after recess:
> 10:30am - 11:00am for Kindergarten to Year 2 students
> 11:30am-12:00pm for Year 3 to Year 6 students.
Students who elect not to participate in SRE will be supervised by a classroom teacher during this time.
How do I enrol my child in scripture?
When you enrol your child at school you will be given the SRE participation letter to complete and return.
If you wish to make changes to your child's current enrolment in SRE, please notify the office in writing.
