The P&C or Parents and Citizens Association plays an important role in our school community and consists of both parents and members of our community who have an interest in providing quality education to our children. It is our goal to support the Principal and teachers in achieving the ideals and goals of the school.
Our school is very proud of the support our P&C gives our students and greater school community.
Membership to the P&C is open to all parents and costs $1 year, which provides the member with voting rights on decisions made throughout the year. Officials are elected at our AGM's held at the beginning of each year in February.
Our 2019 President is Jenni McKinder
Meetings are held on a Wednesday once a month.
All are welcome to attend the meetings, it is always nice to see new faces and make new friends. we meet at 3:20pm in the school library.
Our Role in the MSPS Community
The varying roles of the P&C include
- Maintain the Uniform Shop
- Maintain the canteen
- Support teachers at both school and community events
- Raise funds to purchase resources for the school
- Support the SRC
The Uniform Shop
The uniform shop is run by P&C members and aims to provide quality, affordable uniforms to parents. Orders can be made online or via the My School Connect app.
All fundraisers have the common goal of raising money to be used for resourcing the school. In the past this has included air conditioning in all the classrooms as well as the purchase of an interactive whiteboard. Our annual fundraisers include the Mothers Day Stall, Fathers Day Stall, Easter Raffle, Christmas Raffle, community events and the Market Day BBQ. Other regular fundraisers held are Family Portraits, Slice Drives, Trivia Nights, Scrap booking and Craft Nights.
